How Exercise Keeps Us Alive | Chiropractor in Manahawkin, NJ

Hey, everybody, its Dr. Nicole Bonner from Healing Hands in Manahawkin. And I see, that you see, Zaida working out right outside this door.

Exercising and Staying Active for Better Health

Well, if you remember, we’ve been talking about this past month, we’ve been talking about, if the world just did these four things, we would, in my opinion, reduce chronic inflammation, we would reduce chronic pain, we will reduce chronic illness, probably by over 50%. And we had said earlier in the month that the first thing is, is taking care of your brain and your nervous system, your brain and your nervous system controls every single thing about you. It’s how you perceive the world. It’s how you respond to the world about you, around you, and your brain and your nervous system controls the adaptation of your body. And that’s what keeps you healthy. That’s why as chiropractors we don’t focus on the spinal bones. But we do focus on what’s inside of the spinal bones, meaning the health and the function and repair of the nervous system. So our second pillar to this is motion, motion, motion exercising. That’s why you see Zaida and if you were to come into our office, you would see many patients doing motion exercises just like that. Why? Because we’ve all heard the saying that motion is life. So this is actually our exercise room where patients come into this room. And they do different types of yoga positions, stretching positions, strengthening exercises, mirror imaging, postural corrective exercises, which are really great for people with postural problems, hyper kyphosis, or scoliosis. And that’s what we use this room for. So exercise does not have to be grueling. I think sometimes when we think about having to do exercise, we just make it this huge, big deal. And it’s not a big deal. Find a partner site find somebody like hanging out with and it can be something as simple as a half hour walk a half hour bike ride, yoga stretches, just get down and do it. Make the time set the time aside and do it because your body will thank you for it.

The more that you keep motion, especially as we get older, the healthier you’re going to be, the better your spine is going to move, the more hydrated your spine and your nervous system is going to be and the better you are going to be able to feel in function. So that’s our tip for on motion. And hopefully this provided value for you guys.
