As a child, Zaida was not healthy – she was overweight and was told she had a scoliosis that caused her to have flat feet. It meant that she grew up hating any activity where she had to depend on her body to “keep up” for it to be enjoyable. That meant that she felt defeated in every physical activity from trips to the mall to playing with her family to gym class in school.
As an adult, Zaida began searching for ways to be healthy. She began to incorporate a healthy diet and exercises into her life. She sought out podiatrist, foot wrappings, lasers, and on and on. It wasn’t until she went to healing hands that her life changed. After taking and analyzing x-rays, she learned that she never even had scoliosis, but instead had a spinal condition that had limited for years. She began correcting her spinal condition and saw her body heal. Suddenly, she could run, bike for hours, lift heavy weight, and make it through long days with a renewed faith in her body. After years of being told over and over that she couldn’t do this or that, she finally knows she can.
Because of her life experience, Zaida now strives to help give other their life back the way that she has gotten her own back. She believes that the body is a perfect reflection of the spirit, spirit is perfect, and therefore our bodies are perfect also. Our bodies have the ability to heal itself; all it needs is a healing hand to help.
